Nu har beslut fattats om ordet honung och dess användning enlig följande:
"Europaparlamentet insisterar på att produktens hälsoförhållanden måste förbättras genom en harmonisering av gränskontrollerna, särskilt för import från tredjeländer, med tanke på att importen av honung av låg kvalitet liksom utspädningar och ersättningsprodukter snedvrider marknaden och utövar ett ständigt tryck på priserna och på produktens slutkvalitet på EU:s inre marknad. Parlamentet anser att, i fråga om bearbetade produkter där honung ingår som ingrediens, att namn eller eventuella grafiska eller andra synliga delar på etiketten eller på den bearbetade produktens förpackning får referera till honung i produktnamnet endast om minst 50 procent av sockerinnehållet kommer från honung."
Jag medger att den text på engelsk som diskuterades så livligt var lite otillgänglig för den som inte är så van att läsa juridisk engelska. Men nu är den översatt till svenska och därmed vet nu alla vad som är rätt.
