Bovete är lättodlad och har många fördelar. Jag har experimenterat en del i mikroskala, men har egentligen bara sparat frukterna för att så igen nästa år.
Undrar dock om det finns någon lämplig metod med rimliga kostnader för att skala dessa?
Vad jag förstått innehåller skalen fagopyrin som kan vara giftigt och skapa allergiska reaktioner hos vissa. Har hört att det ska fungera att koka länge och byta ut vattnet någon gång.

Inte bara skalen, utan även de hela fröna innehåller fagopyrin. Om man ska tillaga fröna som dom är så ska man skålla dom med hett vatten först, sedan hälla av det vattnet, för att sedan fylla på med nytt vatten och så koka "grynen" i det. Skållningsvattnet färgas ganska kraftigt av fagopyrinet.
Men hur man skalar fröna har jag ingen aning om... Borde väl funka på samma sätt som man skalar solrosfrön... Kanske...?
