Jag har för mig att jag har läst nånstans att människor åt många fler olika råvaror förr och att man idag äter mycket färre sorter av kött/fisk, grönsaker och mycket mjölbaserad mat, alltså att vi äter mer enkelspårigt idag. Är det någon som känner igen det här och vet om det finns nåt belägg/referens som man kan hänvisa till??

"Förr i tiden" var det nog mycket stora variationer i mathållningen beroende på vilka ekonomiska och sociala förutsättningar man hade. Och naturligtvis också stora skillnader beroende på var i landet eller världen man levde.
Det fanns många som fick klara sig på enbart enklast möjliga basmat - kål, rovor, mjölmat ,salt sill, salt fläsk osv. Mer variation i mathållningen för vanligt folk skulle jag tro kom fram mot slutet av 1800-talet, dels började man propagera för köksträdgårdsodlingar och dels började importerade kolonialvaror bli överkomliga.
