Vi en sjö vi bor nära så bor det 5 knipor i nu. Vi skulle vilja hjälpa de lite genom att lägga ut mat? Tänkte om man kunde lägga ut hönsfoder men läste sedan att de äter "fisk, snäckor, kräftdjur, växtdelar och insekter samt deras larver". Funkar hönsfoder endå?

Man brukar ju skilja mellan simänder och dykänder bland vilda änder .
De beter sig ju lite olika och har olika behov och födoval

ja det är det jag menar. I det vilda äter de ju olika.

Fyller på lite här. Tamankor (domesticerade gräsänder) är alltså simänder, medan knipor är dykänder. Simänder är växtätare, dykänder äter sånt som nyss räknades upp (med lite variation, ejder äter t ex mycket musslor).
Hmm ... jag skulle tro att kniporna klarar sig själva.
