Tänkte fråga er som haft höns länge - hur gör ni när ni ska sätta ut exempelvis maskikläckta kycklingar i en grupp med vuxna höns? Ålder? Tips? Och om ni ska sätta in vuxna individer, gör ni på annat sätt då? Alla tips är välkomna!

Hej. Ett bra knep tycker jag är att itne sätta in för få kycklingar och helst att de är 2-3 mån gamla- då klarar de det bättre- jag brukar försöka göra det antingen när det är skumt på kvällen eller på dagen om jag kan möblera om samtidigt inne i hönshuset- då blir alla lite virriga och håller inte lika hårt på rang. Sätter gärna ut lite extra matskålar med lite olika mat som distraherar....lycka till :-)

När jag skulle sätta till nya kycklingar så gjorde jag det när de var ca 2 månader. Jag tog några delar av ett kompostnät och byggde en liten egen avdelning till de nya. Egen mat, eget vatten, egna pinnar. En av nätdelarna band jag upp så mycket så att kycklingarna kunde komma under och gå ut till de andra om de ville. Det funkade utmärkt och helt utan bråk. Kycklingarna fick bekanta sej med flocken i sin egen takt. Mina hedemoror hade lätt kunnat flyga över till de nya eftersom jag inte hade något tak till kycklingarna, men de gjorde de aldrig. Min minsta hedemoraullhöna kunde ta sej under och in till kycklingarna och stjäla lite av deras mat men som sagt så blev det inget bråk.

Satte ut mina när de var 5-6 veckor, bara de har någonstans att komma undan de stora hönsen/tupparna. Det gick hur bra som helst. :)
