Undrar lite över det här med att förstagångslammare sällan får mer än ett lamm. Alla mina tackor (blandras texel gotland) som är ett år i år har fått ett lamm var. De som är två år i år och fött lamm innan har alla fått två var. En tvååring som gick tom förra året har i år fått tre. Det verkar gå bra för 2 av lammen, det tredje var dödfött/dog strax efter födseln. Men min fråga; är det åldern el antalet "graviditeter" som styr antalet lamm?

Det är konditionen tackan är i när hon betäcks som bestämmer antalet lamm... ;)
Ett tacklamm som betäcks första året är inte extremgott hull, därför får hon bara ett lamm. Tackan som gick tom förra året var i extermt bra kondition, därför fick hon 3 lamm (usch!) Tackor som haft bara ett lamm året innan kan också få tre lamm. Tackor som haft 2 lamm innan och som hunnit återhämta sig väl, får två lamm nästa år också.
Detta under förutsättningen att fårrasen får två lamm i genomsnitt/år.
