Min sambo kom hem med ägg från en man som hade genbanksanslutna kindahöns. Jag kläckte fram 8 kycklingar men en har sikesbefjädring. Har jag blivit lurad eller kan det förekomma? Jag har sökt på rasstandarden av kindahöns men enligt den så kan ju hönorna se ut lite hur som helst så jag vet inte riktigt vad jag ska tro.

Så bra. Ganska kul att de kan se så olika ut men ändå vara samma ras. Hoppas på att det blir en höna så att jag kan behålla den.

Någon rasstandard finns inte för kindahöna eftersom den inte är standardiserad, men i den breda rasram för genbanken där kindahönsen beskrivs står det väldigt tydligt "Fjäderstrukturen kan vara slät eller ullig. Ullhönsens fjäderfan saknar hakar som binder ihop den, ungefär som hos silkeshöns".
Att kindahönsen har en viss variation (liksom övriga lantraser) stämmer. Att denna variation ses som positiv i bevarandearbetet stämmer också. Men, att de för den sakens skull "kan se ut lite hur som helst" stämmer inte.
