Här har vårens torka varit svår och betet har inte alls kommit igång så som förväntat. Dessutom är det första året med lamm och jag hade inte riktigt koll på hur mycket bete som krävdes.
Nu har jag kanske möjlighet att släppa fåren på grannens vall efter höskörd. De slog idag. Det är en gammal vall, inte omsådd på minst 10 år. Nu ser den närmast ut som en gräsmatta. Är det tillräckligt för fåren att gå på nu genast eller bör man vänta en tid för att gräset ska växa till igen? Hur länge i så fall? Är det någon risk för skador på vallen?

Låter som du kan släppa ut dem ganska omgående. Du skall ha 4-6 cm gräs för att det skall kunna kallas bra bete för får. Men det blir det ju snabbt.
