Köpte en liten påse färsk rybskaka idag som proteintillskott till kaninerna. Provade även att ge till hönsen, den var slut på 5 sekunder blankt, supergott tydligen.
MEN:
Kommer äggen smaka fisk? Läste om att speciellt brunvärpare inte kan hantera rapskaka (och rybs är i princip samma sak) utan att ägg-gulan börjar smaka fisk.

Risken är stor om du har en brunvärpande hönsras (med genetiska basen från RIR).
Man bör också vara medveten om att mjöl (men även expeller) från dubbellåg raps/rybs innehåller glukosinolater i tillräcklig koncentration för att ge sköldkörtelförstoringar vid hög inblandning särskilt då hos fjäderfä men även hos grisar.
Man brukar därför inte tillåta mer än 10 % inblandning i foder till kycklingar, värphöns och grisar.
(och gärna kompletteras med joderade mineralfodermedel).

Jo, har läst om det. Men är inte dubbel-låg och trippel-låg lägre i glukosinolathalt, och det är just därför de kallas för "låg"? Jag kommer inte ha halter högre än 10% till något djurslag, det är ju rätt fetthaltigt också.
Jag har Sussex och Hedemora, de lägger olika nyanser av beige till brunt.

Ryps/raps är inte så passande till fjäderfä.
Mera negativa effekter som de gett hos svin och fjäderfä är: diarréer vid höga givor, dräktighetsstörningar, dödfödda eller livssvaga ungar, försämrat produktionsresultat.
