Är det någon som använt gelatin istället för pektin i marmelad/gele/sylt? Blir det någon smakskillnad?

Fruktgelè på mandeltårta har man ibland gelatin i gelèn.Prova och säg vad du tycker. Gelatin smakar ju inte nåt, Däremot undrar jag över om hållbarheten blir densamma, men vet inte.

För längre hållbarhet skulle jag kunna tillsätta konserveringsmedel exempelvis natriumbensoat.

Jo, fast gelatin är protein, så det konserveras annorlunda än kolhydrater som i pektin. Som sagt, vet inte. Frysa istället? Då håller det sig ju. Prova..

Gelantin är ju diverse gott som bland annat svål från gris. Själv tycker jag det är lite osmakligt att ha gris i sylten. Men det kanske bara är jag. :D Smaken lär ju inte påverkas. Men om det står ett tag kanske det härsknar. Vi lagrar ju inte animalier i månader i kylskåp.
