Har upptäckt något ganska intressant här i grannskapet (och lite längre bort).
Det finns massor med bikupor!
På cykelavstånd finns i alla fall minst sex platser med bikupor som man ser från vägen varav grannen här i byn har ett tjugotal kupor på tomten och en nyetablerad bigård har 6 kupor.
Vet att grannen har en utbigård någonstans här i krokarna också men vet inte var/har inte hittat den (har i ärlighetens namn inte leta heller).
I och runt närmaste samhälle finns minst 10 platser med kupor varav ett par är på 10-20 kupor.
Brukar det vara så här tätt med biodlare eller är det unikt för min närhet?
Visst torde det vara bra med mycket samhällen då det (troligen) ger stor genetisk variation?
Gotland är känt för sin stora blomsterprakt vilket förmodligen bidrar till att många skaffat bin dessutom behövs honung till kulturdrycken Dricke...

En bi flyger upp till 1.5 km fån kupan för att hämta nektar som de torkar till honung = 3km i diameter.
Hur fort cyklar du? ;D
Har man blandat teräng , trädgårdar , skog , ängar , och åkrar , så är det alltid något som de kan leta rätt på ;D
