Detta fantastiska dammande pulver som på ett närmast magiskt sätt härdar som den mest superteknologiska tvåkomponents-komposit- ävja när man blandar den med nåt så prosaiskt som sand och vatten
Då får man ju betong, som bekant, som väl inte börjar vittra sönder på ett par hundra år eller så.
Egentligen borde man ju grunda en förening -¨betongens vänner¨ ::)

Cement består av puzzolaner, material rika på kiselsyra och kalk. När vatten tillsätts reagerar dessa med vattnet och bildar kalciumsilikathydrat. Dagens cement tillverkas huvudsakligen av kalksten och lera. Delmaterialen krossas och bränns till knytnävsstora klinkers. Dessa males till ett fint pulver som efter tillsats av bland annat flygaska saluförs som cement av olika kvalitéer. Tillverkningen av cement är mycket energikrävande.

nödvändigtvis. Att tegelbränning, keramiktillverkning och cementframställning är så energikrävande, kan bero på att man inte tar vara på möjligheterna att nyttja motströmsvärmeväxling: Att ordna materialflödet så att det just brända materialet på utgående värmer det ingående på väg till bränning.
Hur realistiskt det är för just cementtillverkning är jag osäker på.
