Hej
Jag har en vän som har en höna och en tupp, hönan är ca 1 år. Problemet är det att hon inte lägger några ägg.
Har läst runt lite men hittar ingenting om vad det kan bero på.
Min fundering är om det är för att det inte finns något rede? men ska det spela någon roll även om det är rekomenderat?

Det är inte bara att rekomendera, det är lagstadgat i djurskyddslagen att en höna ska ha tillgång till ett rede, sen hur många hönor/rede beror på måtten.
Så jag antar att rede är rätt viktigt. När mina hönor inte tyckt om sina reden har de hittat egna platser. Bland annat på höskullen, i foderhäcken (till hästen), i kaninens hus, i gräsuppsamlaren till åkergräsklipparen, bakom soptunnan...
Så visst kan de värpa på andra ställen, men mina har bara värpt när de har trivts.
Finns så många olika möjliga orsaker på så lite information :/

Hur länge har du haft hönan? Denna tid på hösten ruggar fåglar och då värper dom inte.
Andra orsaker är att hon gömmer äggen. Att hon har eller har haft äggledareinfalmation, eller att hon eller tuppen är äggätare :-\
