Är det ingen mer än jag som saknar krossad majs i foderbutiken :(?
Krossar ni själva eller ger ni bara hel majs?
I södra Europa kan man köpa hel,grovkrossad och finkrossad....den finkrossade var perfekt till start för kycklingar (och ällingar)....den grovkrossade fick de börja med vid 5-6veckors ålder.....hel vid ca 5mån.
Det gav ett mycket fint kött på djuren och gulorna blev extremt gula....äggproduktionen var väldigt bra.

Det finns krossad majs att köpa, eller krossad kanske inte är rätt ord. Ser nästan ut som cornflakes så väldigt tillplattad iallafall. Fanns på Stallbyggen i Sölvesborg sist jag var där iallafall.

Jo, jag vet att de är bra krossare....men kycklingarna vill inte äta den hela majsen och jag vill ge dem majs från start.

Vi köper hel majs som vi krossar i kross från Högberga. Beroende på såll så får man olika grovlek.

...och jag köper majskross från Lantmännen! Finns lite helt havrekorn i det, också!

Ger man majskross som tillägg? Jag ger nu fri tillgång på pelleterat allfoder och snäckskal och sedan får de havre, vete, korn, matrester och bröd som godis. Om man nu vill slakta överskottstupparna och få till "majskycklingar", ska de då enbart äta majskross?

Majskross finns med i blandningen vi ger hönsen. När vi har broiler till majskyckling så gav vi pellets och majskross. Mer majs än pellets.
