Vi tar äpplesaftreceptet också när vi ändå är i gång.
2 kg skalade och urkärnade äpplen
2 liter vatten
ev lite citronsyra
2 dl socker/ liter avrunnen saft
Skiva äpplena och lägg i en stor gryta, häll på vattnet och lägg en tyngd på som håller dem under vattenytan ( annars blir äpplena väldigt lätt bruna. ) så gott det går. Låt stå över natten.
Kok upp alltihop och låt sjuda 5 minuter. Häll alltihop genom en silduk och låt rinna av i ca 30 minuter. Rör INTE i äpplemassan eftersom saften då blir grumlig. Mät upp den avrunna saften, tillsätt socker, koka upp och låt koka cirka 5 minuter. Skumma och häll på rena flaskor.
Med tanke på att det är väldigt gott om äpplen iår kan det vara läge att göra något annat än mos, paj, vin, kräm m m för att ta tillvara överskottet.
