Är i full gång att planera vårens bygge i hönshuset. Har nu en avd på ca 12kvm och ska bygga två till på ca 3,6kvm. För att verkligen kunna utnyttja allt utrymme tänkte jag bygga burar att sätta på väggen att ha till höna med kycklingar och som sjukbur alt vaktelbur.
Under burarna kommer jag att ha fodret i ikealådor.
Hur stora ska burarna minst vara för höna med kycklingar?
Ni som har gjort ritningar på datorn, vilket program använder ni?

Jag har en par 80X80 burar som jag har till dvärghöns (Chabo, Dv Silke, Ko Shamo) med kycklingar de första veckorna. Dom funkar inte till en Stor Kochin och känns nog i minsta laget för en medelstor höna som en Isbar eller Araucana. Jag har någon bur som är 80X120 också och den funkar i början till medelstora höns skulle jag tro. (Vet ej säkert då jag inte har några sådan som jag låter runva ;) )

Jemen då lär det räcka med min tilltänkta yta. Då blir det 4 st med ytan ca70-80cm x 140cm, kanske 80-100cm höga. Tack för svar!

Sånt där kompostnät i fyra delar tänker jag använda i år och så sätta en kant med kycklingnät nertill så småttingarna håller sig på rätt sida.
Jag hade förra säsongen en uppånervänd trådkorg (till frysen) som mat plats för kycklingarna. Det fungerade jättebra för att hålla hönorna borta från kycklingmaten. Superbra tips jag fick härifrån ;D
