Äntligen har min Mignonhona börjat lägga ägg. Första ägget la hon i deras matskål och det var vi tvugna att provsmaka då vi aldrig provat ankägg. Idag på morgonen hade hon lagt ytterligare 1 ägg i matskålen och nu tänkte vi låta henne ruva för att få fram ellingar. Men hur går det att flytta äggen då matskålen kanske inte är helt idealt. Är helt ny på fjäderfän så alla råd mottages tacksamt.

Jag brukar låta ankorna värpa minst 10 ägg innan jag låter dem behålla till ruvning..
Ställer in en liten låda ( kartong med dörröppning, transportbur eller liknande), fyller denna delvis med halm/eller hö. Lägger in äggen där om hon inte gör det själv, de brukar komma på det ganska snabbt.
Man kan också lägga in "ruvägg" ( i trä ) för att locka henne att börja ruva.

Oj har helt missat att någon svarat.
Vad är tanken med att ta bort de 10 första äggen? Nu gjorde jag hur som helst inte det och hon började ruva när hon lagt 10 ägg. Hon har nu legat i 20 dagar. De 2 senaste dagarna har jag dock hittat 2 ägg utanför hennes rede. Tror ni det är nya ägg eller ägg som puttats/fallit ur? Jag är osäker på det exakta antalet ägg hon började ruva och har sedan dess inte rört de eller henne av rädsla att hon ska sluta ruva.
