Ämnar bygga 2 st burar inne hos de små hönsen där jag tänker ha vaktlar, el åtminstone i en till att börja med. (Officiellt är det "kycklingburar"...iaf när jag talar med maken... ;))
Först tänkte jag bara sätt upp en mellanvägg, botten o tak o använda den befintliga väggen baktill o på sidorna. Det är dock panel o det kommer att bli svårt att rengöra (o måla) den om burarna byggs in fasta.
Så jag tänkte mig regelvirke med väggar på 3 sidor o nätdörr framtill. Vad ska jag använda till väggar? Masonite? Vill att de ska bli hyfsat lätta så att vi orkar plocka ner dem vid städning/sanering av väggen bakom samt även att det ska vara ett lättstädat material i själv buren.
Taket? Nät eller masonit? Funderar på att köpa ett värmetak för att kunna komplettera elementet därinne vid sträng kyla (brukar ha några omgångar med -35 vintertid).
Storlek på den större buren 90 cm lång, 70 cm djup o 60 cm hög. Den mindre blir 75x75 cm o är tänkt som nykläcks-bur men...kan tänka mig att bygga en stor längs med hela utrymmet o göra listen mitt på så att man kan dela av. Bra när man ska städa o ev behöver dela på dem av andra orsaker. Då kan man ju inreda lite olika också...men då går den inte att lyfta ner. ::) Kanske hål i mittenväggarna o ett rör mellan...
Vad bör botten bestå av o vilket markmaterial är bäst? Om sand, vilken grovlek? (Har tillgång till natursand men måste väl sila den.)
Siktar in mig på japaner till en början...
